The sermon highlights God’s original intention for His people to be a “kingdom of priests” and a “holy nation,” as articulated in Exodus 19, where He calls the entirety of Israel to a special relationship with Him.
We examine the reasons behind the establishment of the Levitical priesthood and how the refusal of the Israelites to have direct fellowship with God led to a reliance on mediators like Moses. The episode further discusses the implications of this historical context for believers today, emphasizing that through Christ, we have been restored to our identity as a royal priesthood, empowering us to serve and manifest God’s presence in our lives and communities.
